In honor of our Southern tradition of Mardi Gras, I have updated my blog.
Also, I will have a slow return to running this week.
So far 2 runs down - 1 mile and 1.5 miles. Yay!
Happy
Mardi Gras
I am from Mobile, AL where Mardi Gras was first celebrated. So in true Mardi Gras tradition, I am throwing some beads and moon pies your way.

So colorful! : )
Love the new look :-)
Love the new pretty, bright colors!!! Hey - here's a question, just curious. Like you I LOVE Drymax socks, they have become my sock of choice. BUT, my problem is that I put holes through the big toes! I have had a couple of pairs where after the first or second run in them - holes. I keep my toenails trimmed and the socks aren't too tight - just curious to know if you or anyone else has had that issue???

Great look to your blog . . . beads and moon pies.
Your blog is so feative now!
Happy Trails - no, I haven't had that problem at all, in fact, I just found these socks in Jan. 09 @ the Houston Marathon Expo and i am still wearing the 3 pair that I purchased there, no holes. Maybe the trails are tough on the socks. Have you tried any of the DryMax trail socks?
I think that's what I wear - the black and orange ones and I LOVE them (3 pairs). I even broke through on the red winter version after the 3rd run. I know my shoes aren't too short either - couldn't have that on the descents. It's weird. Steve had it happen on a pair of his, too. They are tiny little holes so I have just been hand stitching them closed. The rest of the sock looks like brand new. Oh well. I like them too much so I will keep getting them and just keep stitching! :-)
This is such a happy change, I am motivated to change my blog!! Thanks, I hope your hip is doing well!
Great new blog decor! Happy you're back to running again, see you soon I hope!
The new colors are a lot of fun.
Hurray for the running miles!
Fancy blog! I'm probably going to be a Boston observer this year, so of course I'll be looking for you. I read your previous post about 2009. Woman, you are a Superstar! Great year running, and I wish you good luck with your hip...here's to hoping that you'll soon be saying "Hip hip hooray!" (Sorry, I couldn't resist) :-)
Hi Ginny, My Boston qualifying time is 3:40 (or 3:40:59, for those desperate like me, haha). The closest I got to it was 3:41:15!!!!
Love the new layout!
How festive!! Love the "N.O. party" look - excuse me, "Mobile party" look. Now if only I had some King Cake...nah...don't need that, ha!
Am anxiously waiting for the 100 days to be up so we can watch the Boston Marathon...can't wait to see how you do. Stay well!!
